Opening standards
Our dog-entry policies are being finalized with veterinary, insurance and legal guidance. The requirements below are our planned opening standards and may be refined before November 15.
Membership & value
Why does The Stockyard have a membership?
A great dog-friendly community begins with knowing who is entering the yard. Membership helps us verify that participating dogs meet our health and vaccination standards and are suited for a shared social environment. It also unlocks People Perks: Recovery Yard credits, member pricing, early event access, Cabana District opportunities, Pack Points, partner offers, surprises and a Cooler Club Bonus. It is part safety system, part social club and part invitation into the community we are building.
What do I get with a Pack Pass?
Pack Pass is $899 paid once for 36 months of Pack Perks, including two Recovery Yard credits each month, member pricing, partner offers, early access, hidden rewards, First Through the Gate recognition and your choice of Cooler Club Bonus. VIP Couples Pack is $1,499 and includes four monthly Recovery Yard credits, annual VIP event credits and priority access. Compare both Pack Pass options.
When does my 36-month term start?
Your term begins on the official membership activation date, not the day you purchase. The current target is November 15, 2026. If construction or licensing changes that date, your 36 months will still begin when membership access officially activates.
Can I pay in two installments?
Yes. Choose 50% down at checkout; the remaining balance is due within 30 days of the first payment. Membership is not fully activated until the entire purchase price is received.
Can I share or transfer my membership?
Pack Pass covers one household. Certain benefits, including Recovery Yard credits, may be shared with a partner, friend or guest. The membership itself may not be resold or transferred without written approval.
Dog health & entry requirements
What does my dog need to enter the off-leash yard?
- Be at least 16 weeks old and have completed the age-appropriate puppy vaccination series
- Have an approved Stockyard dog profile and signed waiver
- Have current veterinarian-documented vaccination records
- Be healthy and free of contagious illness and parasites
- Be appropriately socialized for shared group play
- Be spayed or neutered if 12 months or older, unless an approved veterinary exception applies
- Be accompanied and actively supervised by an adult
Meeting these requirements does not guarantee continued yard access. Every dog must demonstrate behavior appropriate for a shared social setting during every visit.
Which vaccinations are required?
Dogs entering shared off-leash areas must have current, veterinarian-documented records for Rabies, Distemper/Parvo (often listed as DHPP, DAPP or DA2PP) and Bordetella. Leptospirosis and canine influenza are strongly encouraged based on your veterinarian’s assessment of your dog’s health, lifestyle and exposure risk. “Current” means the vaccine has not passed the expiration or booster date on the veterinary record.
How do I submit vaccination records?
Upload your dog’s records when creating their Stockyard profile. Records should show your dog’s name, vaccines administered and expiration or renewal dates. Once approved, the profile will show that your dog is cleared for entry. Off-leash access pauses when a required record expires and resumes after updated documentation is approved.
Can I administer my dog’s vaccinations myself?
For shared off-leash access, we plan to accept records issued by a licensed veterinary provider. This gives our team a consistent, verifiable health record for every dog entering the yard.
What if my veterinarian recommends a medical exception?
Submit a signed note from your veterinarian explaining the recommendation. Requests are reviewed individually and may include additional access conditions. Approval is not automatic because we must also consider the safety of your dog, the larger Pack and our insurance requirements.
Does my dog need to be spayed or neutered?
Our planned standard is that dogs 12 months and older must be spayed or neutered to use shared off-leash areas. A documented veterinary exception may be reviewed when delaying the procedure is medically or developmentally appropriate. Female dogs in heat may not enter the off-leash yard.
Can my dog visit if they are sick?
Please keep your dog home if they have coughing, repeated sneezing, nasal or eye discharge, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, unusual lethargy, appetite loss, fleas, ticks, an unexplained skin condition or known exposure to a contagious canine illness. Veterinary clearance may be required before returning after a contagious illness.
Safe social play
Are there breed restrictions?
Our planned policy is breed-neutral. Dogs are evaluated according to health, behavior and suitability for shared play—not appearance or breed label. Any dog exhibiting threatening, persistently reactive or unsafe behavior may be asked to take a break or leave, regardless of breed or size. Final admission rules remain subject to insurance requirements.
Does my dog need a temperament test?
Every new dog will have an introductory check-in and may be observed while entering the social environment. A more formal evaluation may be required if a dog appears fearful, overwhelmed, reactive or uncomfortable. Behavior can change from day to day, so previous admission does not guarantee that group play is appropriate during every visit.
What behavior is not appropriate for the yard?
We may interrupt play for aggression, repeated bullying or targeting, persistent mounting, resource guarding, an inability to disengage when redirected, excessive fear or distress, or repeatedly ignoring another dog’s request for space. A break or removal is not a judgment about whether someone has a “good dog.” Group play simply is not the right environment for every dog on every day.
Who supervises my dog?
You do. Stockyard team members help monitor the environment, but they are not a substitute for active owner supervision. Stay aware of your dog’s location, body language and interactions. Dogs may not be left unattended while their person eats, works, shops or leaves the property.
How many dogs can one adult bring?
One adult handler may supervise a maximum of two dogs in shared off-leash areas.
Can a guest bring a dog?
Yes, but every dog—member or guest—must be registered, have approved records and meet the same health and behavior requirements before entering an off-leash area. There are no one-time exceptions for vaccination, health or safety standards.
What happens if my dog is asked to leave?
Depending on what occurred, our team may use a brief reset, a leashed break, end the visit or pause off-leash access. Serious or repeated incidents may require a behavior evaluation or result in suspension. Membership does not override health and safety standards.
Visiting The Stockyard
Can I visit without a dog?
Absolutely. You do not need to bring a dog to enjoy The Stockyard. Come for coffee, food, drinks, events, the Market, coworking or time with your people. Access to individual areas may vary by age, event and operating hours.
Are children allowed?
Children are welcome in designated family and people-focused areas. Our proposed safety standard is that children under 12 do not enter the shared off-leash yard. Guests ages 12–17 must stay immediately beside a supervising adult and follow all yard instructions. The final age standard will be confirmed with our insurance carrier before opening.
Can I bring food, treats or toys into the yard?
Outside dog treats, food and toys must stay out of shared off-leash areas because they can trigger guarding, crowding or conflict. People food belongs in designated dining areas. Stockyard-provided enrichment may be introduced during supervised activities.
When should my dog be leashed?
Dogs must remain leashed outside designated off-leash areas, including entrances, exits, parking areas and people-only spaces. Leashes and prong, choke or pinch collars should be removed inside the off-leash yard. Dogs should retain a properly fitted flat collar or harness with identification.
When does Stockyard Social open?
The planned Pack Pass member opening is November 15, 2026, with broader public access planned for January 2027. Construction, licensing and inspection schedules may affect opening dates. We will publish confirmed dates and admission details as opening approaches.
Purchases, refunds & reservations
Can I get a refund if I change my mind?
Yes, within 14 calendar days of purchase, in full, as long as you have not redeemed a membership benefit. Email hello@stockyardsocial.com from the purchaser’s address. After that period, presale payments are nonrefundable except where required by law or described in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
How does the $10 cabana hold work?
$10 holds your spot and becomes Stockyard credit when you arrive. Cancel at least 24 hours ahead and the credit remains available; late cancellations and no-shows forfeit the hold. Reservations are not live yet—join the Cabana first-access list to receive booking news.
Is the Recovery Yard open now?
Not yet. Recovery Yard credits begin when that experience is built, approved and available. Timing and booking details will be announced to members.
Can these requirements change?
Yes. Requirements may evolve based on veterinary guidance, local health conditions, operating experience, legal standards and insurance requirements. Members will receive notice of material changes whenever practical.
